over the summer without an embroidery machine, i gave hand embroidery a shot! my goal has been to add floral-esque hand embroidery to all my long jeans before the summer ends, and i'm actually pretty close to that goal (: - june 2026

tried out rug tufting with friends for the first time at fuzz lab austin! i created the koi fish and had to simplify the original design quite a bit - june 2026

metalsmithing final project: silver butterfly ring, treble clef ring, texas charm, and "C" charm. had to redo the treble clef ring because i turned the torch on too high heat the first time, and the silver crumpled. happy with the results of the sweat solder on the butterfly. learned how to use third hand tool to solder the charm jump rings shut! - may 2026

metalsmithing: double-lided butterfly / cat vessel out of nickel & brass. super proud of this one because there were many calculations to make the lids fit, and i learned how to sweat solder on both sides of the lid to add butterfly icons. - april 2026

metalsmithing: recreated cross rings but in silver (purchased). used patina to darken the cross and make it more visible. hand hammered, soldered, hammer textured, polished - april 2026

metalsmithing: copper & nickel rings! learned how to solder (using a torch), polish (sanding, blue wheels, white/red rogue, tumbler), wax, etc - april 2026
